Prayer Wheels
At dawn and sunset, Tibetan Buddhists come out to the great stupas of Kathmandu for daily puja. Carrying their prayer wheels and prayer beads, they circumbabulate the stupa reciting mantras. At the great stupa at Boudhanath, the sounds of 'om mane padme hum' sings from the speakers of several CD shops. All day, the sound of mantras greets pilgrims, tourists, and patrons of the many shops. Here are some authentic Tibetan prayer wheels, filled with prayer scrolls; both in hand held and table-top styles.
