Create a beautiful Tibetan Altar -
a place for prayer, reflection, and offerings:
Start with a Puja Table to hold your sacred articles.
A Buddha Statue is used as the central figure. Secondary figures can be added. Each sect of Tibetan Buddhism uses specific figures, placed in proper order.
Offering Bowls and any other offering items you may like, such as a Mandala, Buddha Bowl or Prayer Wheel.
Incense is healthy and enjoyable, as well as an important offering.
Incense Holders are useful, or you can use one of the Offering Bowls to hold your incense. The wooden incense holder matches the Puja Tables perfectly.
Mala Beads are used to count your prayers.
A nice Crystal adds beauty and living energy to your altar.
Ritual instruments, such as a Bell & Dorje or Tibetan Drum are extremely important and helpful in prayer. They will transform your experience, as will a nice Singing Bowl. Other instruments have special functions.
Tingsha are traditionally used as part of the daily offering.
Thangka Paintings and Tibetan Rugs will complete your sacred space, bringing love and warmth to the entire room.
Your own creativity shall guide the way, or you can rely on the time honored traditions of Tibet. I am happy to help you choose your altar items. Just email: joseph@buddhaoffering.com
