Working directly with artisans of Buddhist art and Tibetan ritual objects, I am proud to offer this selection of top quality Tibetan Art Treasures. Each item has been hand selected and is of the very finest quality. A feeling of vitality and love permeates these hand made religious items. The exquisite Buddha statues, Tibetan rugs, thangka paintings, offering bowls, prayer flags, incense and other wonderful items embody the kindness, spirit, and knowledge of the people who produce them. Every item at Buddha Offering is a 100% hand made and authentic. Every item is of the very highest quality available, hand chosen by myself, Joseph Feinstein, owner of Buddha Offering and the world famous Himalayan Bowls I ensure that all of the products I carry are made in a conscientious way, without worker exploitation and in a manner befitting the sacred quality of the objects. In most cases, the items are made by families of artisans in small workshops which I have personally visited. Other items are hard to find antiques that I search for in and around Kathmandu, Nepal. Tibetan Buddhist art is the sublime expression of deep knowledge. Tibetan Buddhism explores the many dimensions of life through its long tradition of expressive ritual art. Tibetan culture is alive in its art, and we are blessed to share the teachings as well as the symbolic sacred tools for meditation, chant, and prayer. Even a picture of a statue seems to transmit love and kindness. These hand made statues, each a sublime reflection, offer us a gentle reminder to continue to grow, learn, teach, and cultivate a good life. Here the Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, and Bodhisattvas live in hand-cast metal as they have for centuries. The Tibetan rugs offered here show the incredible skill of traditional artisans. These 100% vegetable dye, 100% Tibetan wool rugs are hand made by Tibetan refugees in Nepal. Each knot reminds us to be thankful and to remember others who work for months to weave a single Tibetan carpet entirely by hand. I am proud to offer an astounding collection of traditional Tibetan thangka paintings. From the workshop of ninth generation master painters, these paintings show the incredible vitality of the Tibetan Buddhist art as a living tradition. These thangkas are produced in the same workshop that has supplied many monasteries in Asia, Europe, the USA. These paintings are the highest quality available anywhere. The puja tables, offering items, prayer flags, and prayer wheels, Tibetan incense, and other items are hand made in and around Kathmandu, the center for trade and manufacturing in the Himalayas. Those of you who know me through Himalayan Bowls know that I hold a special place for sacred sound. I have searched for the very best quality instruments available. These are the same instruments used in the Tibetan monasteries, and the quality is outstanding. Like you find on www.HimalayanBowls.com, I have created sound clips for each item. Great craftspeople are quietly creating some of the world's most beautiful and inspiring art in the valleys below the great Himalayan peaks. The following pages display an amazing array of carefully selected religious art and ritual musical instruments. I have hand chosen each item to meet the highest standard. Pure herbal incense, real wood block prayer flags, real prayer wheels with prayers inside, incredible Himalayan crystals, and much more await you. I hope you enjoy these galleries of Tibetan Buddhist art as much as I do. |
